TableVote ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by K-Bar, Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the TableVote application ("the App").

Information We Collect

TableVote is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. We collect:

• Display name: The nickname you enter when creating or joining a table. This is not verified and does not need to be your real name.
• Location data: If you choose "Use My Location," we access your device's GPS coordinates to find nearby restaurants. If you enter a ZIP code instead, we geocode that ZIP to coordinates. We do not store your location after your session ends.
• Voting data: Your restaurant swipe choices (yes/no) during a session. This data exists only in server memory and is automatically deleted when the table expires (within 4 hours).
• Chat messages: If you use the in-app chat feature, messages are relayed to other table members in real time. Messages are not stored after the table expires.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not require an account, email address, phone number, or password.
• We do not collect payment information (subscriptions are handled through Apple's App Store).
• We do not use cookies or tracking pixels.
• We do not sell, share, or rent your personal information to third parties.

Third-Party Services

TableVote uses the following third-party services:

• Google Places API: To search for restaurants near your location and display restaurant details, photos, and ratings. Your location coordinates are sent to Google's servers for this purpose. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy
• Google AdMob (future): The free version of TableVote may display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad targeting. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.

Data Retention

TableVote does not use a database. All session data (table codes, member names, votes, chat messages) is stored temporarily in server memory and is automatically deleted when the table expires (maximum 4 hours) or when the server restarts. We retain no personal data after your session ends.

Children's Privacy

TableVote is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data Security

All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/WSS (TLS). While no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Your Rights

Since we do not store personal data beyond your active session, there is generally no personal data to access, modify, or delete. If you have questions about your data, contact us at the address below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
